Poor Yorick CD release
A new CD – Poor Yorick, composed by Roger Marsh for the Hilliard Ensemble in 2013 – is now available here.
Poor Yorick was commissioned by the Hilliard Ensemble for their 40th Anniversary Tour in December 2013. The premiere was given at The Spitalfields Festival, London on December 11th 2013. The piece is a setting of the Death of Parson Yorick, from Sterne’s Tristram Shandy. It was recorded at Shandy Hall in Coxwold, by Jez Wells. This CD is the first on the cmrc label (CMRC001)

Catherine Laws gave a keynote address and a performance at ‘Embodied Monologues’, an international symposium of practitioner-researchers in music, theatre and dance, at the National University of Ireland Maynooth, on March 31st. On April 29th she will present a keynote speech at ‘Please Specify!: Sharing Artistic Research Across Disciplines’, the conference of the International Society for Artistic Research, at the University of the Arts, Helsinki, including a performance of ‘Touch and Go’ for piano, written for Catherine by Roger Marsh.
